When grieving, time seems to move at a different pace to you than to the rest of the world. It takes a while to understand that those who leave are never really gone. Such as Sofia, a Brazilian young woman who decides to take a trip to New York in the fall after her mother’s passing - a yearly trip from an early age to the mother; an emotional scar from an early age to the daughter. Written and directed by Stella Rea, the short film proposes a dive in the physicality of memories through Sofia’s journey: a trip that allows her to imagine who her mother was when in New York.
